There are several main types: green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea, and Pu’er tea. The tea ceremony emphasizes harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility. In traditional Chinese culture, serving tea to guests is a sign of hospitality and respect. The Book of Tea written by Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty is the world’s first monograph on tea.
