China’s high-speed rail network has experienced remarkable growth over the past two decades. As of now, China has the world’s largest high-speed rail network, covering tens of thousands of kilometers. High-speed trains have greatly shortened travel time between cities and boosted regional economic development. For instance, the journey from Beijing to Shanghai, once requiring over ten hours, now takes just about four and a half hours. The high-speed rail system not only provides convenience for travelers but also symbolizes China’s technological advancement and infrastructure capability.
